Where our choices come from, so you never have to guess
What you will notice
- There is no music or musical sound anywhere in Amwalio.
- We do not use photos of people or animals.
- We never recommend a loan, a card or an interest-based product, and we never ask for a bank connection.
- The zakat calculator says which scholarly method it used and shows the source for each point. Where we have found no published ruling, it says so.
- Software can suggest, but anything it is unsure about goes to a person.
Where these choices come from
Every rule rests on a written standard shared by all Byesar projects, called the ECS (Ethical Content Standard). Its basis is the Qur'an and Sunnah and published answers from recognised Islamic fatwa bodies. Where scholars differ, we say so and show the choice we made. How we are funded follows the same standard: no interest-based products or deals.
This is not a fatwa. We describe what we did and why. We do not issue rulings, and we do not claim any endorsement.
